The season just keeps getting better with a month of continuous snowfall and we're currently experiencing a huge snowstorm bringing us well over half a metre of snow around the higher resorts.
The type of days that will be unforgettable in a lifetime of ski/board days.
We now officially have the snowiest August since at least 1992.
Our average snow depths are now edging close to two metres and there is xcellent fresh dry snow everywhere.
Its now time to get your bookings in for September. There should be plenty of snow for the school holidays.
Those out there the past two days have told us that it is some of the driest and deepest snow they've experienced in many many years. It doesn't get much better than this.

Mt Buffalo has plenty of snow too with the Toboggan Run and Tube Park open. Entry to Mt Buffalo is free.

Aug 16 - some really cold weather is around with some great snow falls.  Mt Buffalo toboggan run is in full operation and Mt Hotham and Falls Creek are humming.

June 30 - snowing and snow falling down to 1000m.  Mt Hotham and Falls Creek have 4 or more lift operating and 50cms+ of snow.  Mt Buffalo has snow falling on it today!

Highland Valley Homestead now available 

We now have a three bedroom 3.5 star house - The Homestead -  with a cosy wood fire available for families and groups up to a maximum of six guests

Highland Valley Holiday Units business is for sale

for the first time ever. Sue and Arno have decided to retire from Highland Valley.  The business comprises four two bedroom holiday units plus family home on one acre of land with good road frontage and access at the back to the Murray to Mountain Rail Trail.  The business includes a pool and playground.  Ideal "tree change" business with great reputation and figures over many years.  Easily run by a couple working part time and enjoying the relaxed lifestyle of the beautiful town of Bright at the same time.

The autumn weather is here - warm days and crisp, cool nights, making the trees start to turn their leaves to the beautiful autumn colours Bright is famous for.

A new pool had been built over the Rail Trail at Alpine Valley Cottages.  This means the Highland Valley pool is now back to being shared by just the four units at Highland Valley. So guests will have the large ten metre clear blue pool with no more than 12 other guests.

Mt Hotham and Falls Creek have over 40 cms of snow and lifts open and Mt Buffalo has 30cm just right for tobogganing!  Look like a great snow season is on its way!
